Detail & Features

How cool are these beads?! These are a variation on beads traditionally called Glass Snake Vertebrae because of the way they interlock like a snake's backbone. These are an unusual pinion shape, and they "stack" together to make the coolest pattern! You could wear this strand as a necklace or break it apart to use individual beads in your jewelry designs.

Bead Size: 5.5x2mm
Hole Size: 1mm
Approximate Number of beads: 290
Average Strand Length: 26"
Color: Mostly Green w/ some Pink, Blue

The strand is strung on twisted raffia in a traditional loop, approximately 26" long (21" of beads with 5" of twisted twine at the top).

Please note: You will receive one of the strands from the bundle shown. Beads are mostly green but each strand is unique, and there are sections of pink, blue, etc on some of them. If you have a design preference, please message us prior to ordering.

These beads are old; they date back as early as the early 1900's and originated from Europe. They do show some dirt and minor chips on some of the edges, but this is part of their beauty and attests to their age. African beads have such mystery attached to them; they have been worn for decades, travelled continents, and will be around for hundreds of years into the future. Be a part of the mystery and let these beads grace you with their presence.
