Another treasure unearthed from the WSW bead stash. 💛✨
These vintage Yellow Acrylic Heishi Beads have been floating around our warehouse for years, still strung on their original extra-long strands with an old Made in Hong Kong tag attached (not all strands still have the tag, but you can see it in the photos).
And they're SO GOOD.
Tiny, precision-cut 5mm heishi discs are stacked together in a beautifully imperfect mix of sunny yellows, from bright lemon and translucent golden yellow to soft buttery cream. Look closely and you'll even spot the occasional whisper of pale green mixed in. The subtle variation gives the strand so much more dimension than a single-color heishi.
At just 1.5mm thick, these are exceptionally slim little discs with a crisp, clean profile. They're lightweight, versatile and especially good for adding a fine stripe of color between larger beads, or stringing en masse for that deliciously stacked heishi look.
And you get a LOT of them: each strand measures approximately 30 inches long.
We don't know exactly when these arrived at WSW or how long they were hiding in the warehouse before we rediscovered them. What we do know is that the original strands are tagged Made in Hong Kong.
