Detail & Features
Some beads are just too good to leave behind. ❤️
These striking red glass tube beads came to us as vintage warehouse stock, where they had reportedly been stored for years—and their condition is remarkable. The glossy scarlet-red glass is bright, smooth, and beautifully preserved, giving these vintage beads an almost new-old-stock feel. They have a wonderfully smooth surface feel.
Look closely at the ends and you'll see the lighter inner core beneath the red exterior—a layered glass construction associated with classic White Heart beads. Their elongated 4x10mm tube shape is especially unusual, giving them more presence than the tiny White Heart beads you may be used to seeing.
We were originally told these were vintage French glass beads. While “French White Hearts” is a name that has historically been used for this style of bead, similar layered glass beads were also produced in Venice and Bohemia. Because we don't have documentation confirming their exact maker or country of origin, we're simply letting the beads—and that gorgeous saturated red—speak for themselves.
Use them for necklaces, bracelets, earrings, tassel projects, or anywhere you want a strong hit of classic red. Their simple tube shape makes them incredibly versatile, while the vintage glass gives a design just a little more story.

Your life is filled with history & mystery, so you should wear jewelry that reflects your uniqueness. After all, life's too short to wear (or make!) boring jewelry!
Such a delicious color of ruby red, these beads are antique French beads that were traded into Africa. The beads date back as far as the 1500's, but have been newly strung on twine. They are called "White Hearts" because they are made of two layers of glass; they have a "white heart" underneath a ruby red outer layer.
Wear them as/is, or break them apart to create your own tribal magic!
These beads are old; some do show some dirt and minor chips on some edges, and there are a very few white solid red beads strung in on the occasional strand. These variations and slight imperfections are part of their beauty and attest to the age and authenticity of the beads. African beads have such mystery attached to them; they have been worn for decades, travelled continents, and will be around for hundreds of years into the future. Be a part of their story and let these beads grace you with their presence.
