Rich and bold, this decadent trim reminds us of marigolds. Beautifully regal golden flowers blossom in gold against a blockprint background in red, blue, yellow, green, and fuchsia. This is such a festive trim! It would be perfect for Day of the Dead decorations.
Marigolds, (gende ka phool in Hindi, la maravilla in Spanish) are believed to hold powerful medicinal and spiritual powers in Mexico, Latin America, and India. They are a symbol of the strength of the sun and the light that lives inside a person.
I hand-select these beautifully embroidered silk trims from a huge storehouse in India. It is 7 floors of color and texture. I'm like a kid in a candy shop over these beauties- the colors are overwhelming!
Traditionally used as Sari borders, but the adornment possibilities are endless! Tablecloth borders, pillowcase borders, jeans trim, belt, jacket trim.....get inspired and create!
