Detail & Features
Bold, graphic, and holding more color than something this small has any business holding. Every disc is a mosaic of assorted gems: spiny oyster shell, lapis, turquoise, coral, abalone, and mother of pearl, set into a shell base and sanded flat so your thumb runs straight across without catching an edge.
The bold stepped triangles remind us of the terraced rock of the high desert.
Decorated on each side of the coin, so it can spin on a necklace all day and never turn a plain side toward the world.
Sold as single beads, so you can grab one for a pendant or collect a handful for a whole strand.

A note on the style:
That stepped, geometric look comes out of the American Southwest, where Pueblo artists have been setting stone and shell mosaic onto a shell base for generations. These are made in small batches in the Philipines by our supplier and are not Native American made. We carry them because the technique is gorgeous, and we'd rather tell you exactly what you're buying.
