Detail & Features
50% of the proceeds of the sale of this necklace will be donated to the Corita Art Center in Los Angeles, who is compiling art kits and distributing them to families with kids who were impacted by the fires.
Art is an emergency response. It helps us process and express our feelings. Help kids (and their families) by supporting this effort.*
More details can be found here on the Corita Art Center Website, and on their Instagram page.
This necklace was designed by and entirely handmade by Carter Seibels, founder and chief creative at WomanShopsWorld.
Carter is a lampworker and used to make jewelry under the name Divali Glass Jewelry. She has a collection of her jewelry that is nearly vintage, that remains from galleries and exhibits where here jewelry used to be on display. This particular batch of necklaces was originally designed and created as a fundraiser for the Doctors Without Borders, in conjunction with Southern Living Magazine, in 2006.
Carter held onto the necklaces that were unsold after this fundraiser, and has been waiting for the right occasion to release them into the world.
This feels like the right time.
Each necklace has a sterling silver "Divali" logo tag, with an individual number, making it a collectible piece.
