These periwinkle beauties are something boldly new and super-cool in our bone bead category. Super-large-hole beads that are perfect for using as a focal bead, to string your multi-strand seed bead design through, add to your macrame, or even to use as dread beads.
Made in India, from cow bone (cruelty-free) that has been dyed with a natural, color fast permanent dye. These are a denim blue with different hand-carved tribal markings.

In India and Nepal, not much is wasted. So instead of just eating the meat of an animal, every part of the animal is used: bones for things like beads, hides/hair for clothing and accessories and talismans, and the meat is consumed.
The making of these beads and pendants provides a livelihood for families in remote villages in Nepal and India, which we are honored to support and share with you.
