Antique Italian Blue Green Flower Glass Bead
Such an alluring combination of colors, these intricate beads are a true collector's item. These old Millefiori beads are Venetian, and date back possibly as far as the 1800's. Traded into Africa for goods such as indigo, rice, sugar, etc. hundreds of years ago. They are becoming increasingly harder to find, and therefore considered collectible.
Millefiori translates into "Thousand Flower." Given its name due to the intricate repeating patterns on the surface of these beads, this is one bead style I couldn't walk away from. Extremely brilliant in color, beautiful condition, and the perfect shape for jewelry making, these beads are something to be treasured.
Hole Size: 3mm
Number of beads: 1
Color: Blue & Green
It's really neat to think about all the places that these beads have been, what their value has been to different people throughout history, and the many miles they have travelled.
