Glowing form within, these beauties are rare Uranium glass beads. Vintage beads, made in the Czech Republic in the early 1900's, and traded into Africa. Made from Vaseline Glass, these beauties glow a vibrant uranium yellowy-green color. Because they are made from vaseline glass, they will glow in a black light too! Faceted bicone shape makes them very comfortable to wear.
Beads measure approximately 11x15mm. They come temporarily strung on twisted twine. Approximately 40 beads per strand, the entire strand (including twine) measures approximately 22".
These beads are old. They do show some dirt and minor chips on some of the edges, but this is part of their beauty, and attests to their age. African beads have such mystery attached to them; they have been worn for decades, travelled continents, and will be around for hundreds of years into the future.
