Calling all color-lovers, I've got your stash! These beads are amazing, and such a fun new take on mala bone beads... where else have you seen shimmering gold Mala beads?! These have been in development since our last trip to India, and I am so excited to finally share them with you!
This gold color has such a perfectly metallic glean. These beads are made exclusively for WomanShopsWorld! I've designed this line just for you, jewelry designers! Handcrafted in India, these beads are hand carved from cow bone.
These beads are strung in a loop, the way they are traditionally strung in India. The strand is approximately 31" long; individual beads measure approximately 8x6mm each. There are 108 beads on each strand. The holes measure 2mm, so they are great for using with elastic.
Why not make your own spiritual jewelry or mala with these powerful beads. Just add a tassel and you've got such a great look!
Please note that there are a few beads on each strand that do not have a solid golden coating. This does not detract from the overall look; rather it adds to the handmade feel.

Curious to know about the source of the bone?
In India and Nepal, not much is wasted. So instead of just eating the meat of an animal, every part of the animal is used: bones for things like beads, hides/hair for clothing and accessories and talismans, and the meat is consumed.
The making of these beads and pendants provides a livelihood for families in remote villages in Nepal and India, which we are honored to support and share with you.
