Our Color Inspiration for Fall

by Blog Contributor Eryn Johnson

There's nothing we get more excited about over here at Woman Shops World than beautiful color.

Pantone’s list of colors for the fall and winter have us falling over ourselves with delight. According to Pantone, they’re “Autumnal hues that evoke the feeling of leaves on the forest floor, rich plumage and twilight reveal a modern fall palette of deep and rich tones with outbursts of colorful surprise.”

Scroll down to check out some of our favorites and get inspired to make something colorful of your own for fall!

Red pear. Red pear is rich red clay soil, the veins in my favorite farmer’s market chard, and the cover of a well-loved idea journal.

Our product pick: Hand cut olive wood cranberry beads

Valiant poppy. I can’t help but think of that gorgeous field of poppies in the Wizard of Oz, crisp red storybook apples, and my mother’s red lipstick.

Our product pick: Red silky luxe tassels

Nebulas Blue. This blue has us picturing crisp cloudless skies highlighted even brighter by the orange, brown, and red hues of the leaves and wanting to throw on our flared, back-to-school style denim with the frayed hems.

Our product pick: Blue, black & gold painted bone beads

Ceylon Yellow. Ceylon yellow is drive-through movies, spicy brown mustard, and late nights that don’t end until the moon goes back into hiding.

Our product pick: Round Yellow Resin Beads

Martini Olive. Martini olive is dark wine bars with wood paneling and my favorite military style jacket that I can’t wait to throw on for fall.

Our product pick: Raffia Fan Tassels

Russet Orange. This warm shade of orange is conjuring up images of fragile leaves, juicy sumo orange peels, and the crackle of a flame in a burning ceremony with your intentions turning to ashes and wafting up to the sky in smoke.

Our product pick: Pumpkin Patch Orange Speckled Bone Beads

Ultra Violet. Ultra violet is transporting us to the mysteries of ancient civilizations and their queens, crushed velvet boots, and getting a reading from our local psychic in her magical shop.

Our product pick: Orchid: real natural acai beads
Ultra Violet Purple Acai Beads

Limelight. Limelight is eating lemon meringue pie at Grandma’s and stealing the show with your own saccharine smile.

Our product pick: Zesty neon yellow sequins

Quetzal Green This shade of green is conjuring up visions of mermaids swimming through seaweed and deep diving into the caves of our own hearts.

Our product pick: Teal triangle: tiny shimmering blue green electroplated hematite

Tofu. Yes, this is conjuring up visions of the tofu I pressed last night. But we’re also thinking of the foamy white bubbles in a bath at the end of the day, fresh sheets, and the crisp white of new sheets of paper (do people still use paper these days?!).

Our product pick: Cream Rondelle Bone Bead Mala

Quiet Gray. This shade of gray is every dream I’ve ever had that I lost right after I woke up, the 7-of-cups style magic that lends a dreamy quality to everything, and the color you want the sky to be when you’re cozy in bed with a good book.

Our product pick: Grey Skies Vintage French Glass Beads

Meerkat. We’re brought back to 70s style suede flare pants, shag carpets, and the stripes of fluffy tabby cats.

Our product pick: Walnut brown olive wood beads
