Detail & Features
These white brass ghau style prayer pendants hail from Nepal. This pendant is worn to carry a special object whether written words or other pieces of juju close to your body. As you can see in the photos one of the sides opens up, where traditionally the wearer would carry an affirmation, prayer, photo, or memory. The main vessel part measures approximately 1.5" deep.
One side of the pendant has an inscription in Tibetian language in white brass that reads, "Om Mani Padme Hum", which means "the jewel in the lotus".
Pendant measure 1.5" long x 1/2" wide.
Pendant bail is about 7mm wide, large enough for a leather or other type of cord.
The pendant is made of white brass mixed with copper & nickel.

I travel to Nepal to hand-select all of my Nepali jewelry making supplies. I work with small-scale, family-run businesses, most of whom have been crafting these pieces for generations. I sit in the tiny little shoebox of a shop and look at their new designs, while sipping tea, and choose my favorites. It's pretty magical. Purchasing these goods help me support them in their handmade, traditional craft.
**A portion of my proceeds will be donated to V-Day, a global activist organization dedicated to ending violence against women and girls.**
