These beautiful handmade beads are made from cured Olive Wood, which is a beautiful natural light weight wood. Hailing from Afghanistan, Olive Wood is a common type of bead used to make Malas. Normally you will find brown laminated Olive Wood; these beads are exemplary because each bead on these strands is cut and turned by hand from a solid piece of wood, so they have a consistent look and a great natural feel.
These strands have been dyed a gorgeous shade of green, using all natural dyes. These beads have some variations in color, featuring some lighter and darker green areas. They are color-fast. These beads would make beautiful spacers in earthy-girl jewelry.
16+/-" long strand.
Individual Olive Wood beads measure approximately 7x7.5mm each.
Hole measures approximately 1mm, so they are perfect for smaller elastic / bracelet projects.
There are approximately 60 beads per strand.
