Forest: Stained Green Bone Beads, 9mm, 10 PiecesWoman Shops World
The rich forest green on these beads is so soothing and lovely. These beauties are perfectly bohemian and rustic. Handcrafted in Kathmandu, Nepal, these beads are made from yak bone that has been stained green, and inlaid with brass bands, and with chips of Turquoise and Coral.
They are perfect for making yoga-inspired jewelry, malas, bracelets, and bohemian-style jewelry. This is a great size for bracelets and necklaces.
Each bead measures approximately 9mm, and the holes are approximately 1.5mm.
This listing is for 10 loose beads: some will be inlaid with Turquoise and Coral, and some will be inlaid with Brass Bands.
Curious to know about the source of the bone?
In India and Nepal, not much is wasted. So instead of just eating the meat of an animal, every part of the animal is used: bones for things like beads, hides/hair for clothing and accessories and talismans, and the meat is consumed.
The making of these beads and pendants provides a livelihood for families in remote villages in Nepal and India, which we are honored to support and share with you.
A portion of all WSW sales will be donated to The Compassion Collective, which works to feed, clothe, shelter, and save our refugee and homeless sisters, brothers, and children in the US and worldwide.
