Detail & Features
So vibrant and perfectly springy, these African glass beads are a delicious shade of green. They are called "White Hearts" because they are made of two layers of glass; they have a "white heart" underneath a ruby red outer layer.
Beads measure approximately 4x3mm.
The hole on these measures approximately 1-1.5mm.
This listing is for 1 strand of beads. The strand is strung in a loop, they way they are traditionally strung in Africa, approximately 25" long (21" of beads with 4" of twisted twine at the top).
White Heart beads have been made in the Czech Republic (Bohemia) for hundreds of years. Like many Czech beads, White Hearts (Cornaline D'Aleppo's) were traded into Africa and became an important part of the African bead trade.
